Meg

Meg is the super star of the Trust. She came to the attention of the Trust when she was due to be put to sleep as she was very elderly, blind and going deaf. A wonderful lady called Ann adopted Meg and gave her a new lease on life.

Hi Vivienne,
Brace yourself for a surprise! There is nothing wrong with Meggy's balance. The signs of anxiety she is showing are probably due to canine cognitive dysfunction - that is doggy alzheimers. This also explains her altered sleep patterns and anxiety in the middle of the night. I was quite wrong in thinking she was being a spoilt brat. The vet has given me some medication which may help but it is slow to take effect so I will not know whether it is working for about a month. In the meantime, two of her great pleasures (riding in the car and sleeping with me) are denied to her and she will have to be walked in the park accross the road from my house. Poor wee soul!
Will keep you posted.
Ann
